Leading EDGE Awards to be presented May 30
The 12th Leading EDGE Awards will be presented to companies from throughout the Mohawk Valley on Thursday, May 30. The annual luncheon will begin at noon at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro.
“The Leading EDGE Awards recognize and honor companies who are investing and growing in the Mohawk Valley, or demonstrating innovation through their products or processes,” said Steven J. DiMeo, President of Mohawk Valley EDGE. “This event allows EDGE and the general public to show their appreciation for what these companies are doing to keep our region’s economy strong.”
This year’s honorees include:
- Burrow’s Paper Corporation, Little Falls;
- Matt Brewing Company, Utica;
- Meyda Lighting, Yorkville;
- Rome Strip Steel, Rome; and
- Symeon Tsoupelis, owner of Symeon’s Greek Restaurant will receive the Christopher Destito Leading EDGE Award.
John Zogby, Senior Analyst at Zogby Analytics will be the keynote speaker and discuss the research for his new book, “First Globals”. Focusing on youth aged 18-34 and the importance and impact of this demographic on a community.
